記憶是人類建立自我概念的必要元素，正是因為個體之間擁有截然不同的生命經驗，「我」才能成為「我」。當代的視覺文化提供了一種新的觀看方式，卻也同時抹去生命的獨特性，當我們終於到達文明的巔峰，才發現原來最美好的年代早已隨著映像管電視一同消逝。
Z世代的自我建構，是嘗試將靈魂數位化的一場大型實驗，這是專屬於我們的祝福和詛咒，從出生那一刻就無法逃離。

「美好年代：2000」是荷爾蒙少年全新的影音同步創作專案，也是樂團首次嘗試跨領域的作品產出，嘗試透過不同角度切入，探討影像記憶和自我建構之間的關聯性。

Memory is an inseparable element for humans building our own self-conception. Due to entirely different life experiences of the individuals, I became who I am.
The contemporary visual culture provided a new version of the vision, however, it also wiped out the uniqueness of our lives. Only when we finally reach the peak of civilization, we realized the most fabulous ages have faded with the picture tube television. The self-constructed Z generation was a mass experiment trying to digitalize our souls. It was a blessing as well as a curse that we couldn’t escape from the moment we were born.
[The Belle Époque] is a brand new audiovisual creative project of Hormone Boys. It is also the first time trying cross-field work. Not only attempting to stand another point of view of seeing things, but also discuss about the relationship between picture memories and self-construction.
