Singer songwriter Lilas Ikuta started singing with a guitar in hand in junior high and has caught the attention of those who listen with her catchy voice and genuine character. Since 2019 she has been active as ikura, the vocalist for YOASOBI, a unit that “turns novels into music.”
She will now be releasing her first album Sketch digitally on March 8, 2023 (Wednesday).  Her song “Answer” created buzz on TikTok in March, 2021 as it was used as the commercial song for an insurance company. From August 2021 to March 2022, her songs “Promise of Romance” and “Sparkle” were the theme songs two songs in a row for the ABEMA-produced and digitally released Japanese romance reality show Kyo, Sukini Narimashita. June the same year, “Lense” was written for TBS’s TV drama theme song. In December, “JUMP” became Fuji TV’s FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 official show theme song, the first time for her song to be used for a sports program. The album will include the newest song “Tanpopo,” the theme song to NHK’s drama series Ōoku and seven other already-released songs and three newly written songs including company, Kuraray’s TV commercial song “Circle” that starts airing this year in March.
In addition, she performed on YouTube channel “THE FIRST TAKE” and these performances that surpassed 10 million plays – “Sparkle – From THE FIRST TAKE” and “Lense – From THE FIRST TAKE” will be included in the album that has a total of thirteen tracks. Lilas Ikuta wrote the lyrics and songs to all the songs included. Known for reflecting her own experiences in the lyrics, you can experience her past and her future in this release.  
It is the first time the lead track “Circle” is included in an album and is a very Lilas-like song with lyrics that reflect the everyday life of various people. Even if every day seems the same, the small things that build up make the future brighter. The song sounds like footsteps that move forward into the future and the singing that talks to you like one of your own and giving you bravery.
